Hey guys, I'm currently reg'd with elecsa and have been more than happy with my dealings with them. They are always helpful and really welcoming with questions. BUT, i have come accross a few jobs where people have asked for NICEIC as its the one they know or have heard of and assume elecsa to be lesser. Can anyone help me in deciding whether to stick with elecsa and keep explaining to people what its all about, or change to the nic and have it done with? It would be staright forward only from previous dealings with nic whilst being employed in the past i found nic to be the opposite of elecsa in customer care. And more expensive to join. Thanks

i have to say, i would stick with Elecsa. I am with NAPIT and generally happy with them but looking like i will change over to Elecsa next year. I know that their tech help is excellent, NAPIT have for some stupid reason have the same amount of staff covering both their members and B&Q helplines so you can never get through!

NIC are often a bit full of themselves in the deallings i have had with them, and as you point out they are dearer! The others are becoming more and more recognised, but its the same as everyone talks about Corgi registration for gas, they refer to NICEIC for electrics. If you point out to the clients that Elecsa is exactly the same as NICEIC, they should be happy with that!
