Please can somebody advise ? Having lost one of the element connection wires I tried to remove the fan plate at the back of the oven (inside oven) buy removing the three screws. Of course the fan itself dropped behind the plate. I now have to remove the oven to remove the rear cover to resecure the fan and find the missing element wire. Is it safe for me to do this if I turn the electricity off at the mains and switch off the cooker isolation switch??? I'm worried about the presence of any capacitors around the fan. Basically will I be safe or should I really employ a fully qualified electrician???
Many thanks

As long as you have isolated the correct circuit, you will be fine.
Motor capacitors do not store residual electricity as it is used to phase shift the ac waveform, not like in dc applications where they can retain charge for some time.
