Smeg 19.5kw 53amp mcb

Evening , got to wire in a smeg 19.5kw

TR4110IGR​

Using diversity I work it out to :
Total load 84.7
Diversity: 10amp
30% of 74.7= 25amp
Total = 36

I would fit 40-45amp breaker on 10mm clipped direct. No insulation and no cooler socket ?

Am I missing something with Smeg and why they want 53 amp. Tried to contact them but no joy as yet ?

If you decide to ignore the manufacturer instructions, it may well work ok but you leave yourself open to blame if anything goes wrong.

yeah I realise that which is why I won’t Smeg to clarify. However most cooler switches are rated 45-50amp. Not great on 53amp mcb . Just does not make sense to me

Presumably you aren't going to be able to get a 53A MCB to suit though?

Out of interest where did the 53A figure come from, it doesn't seem to be in the manufacturers instructions, unless there is a further document?

The instructions seem to specify the cable type and final supply conductors size. As long as that is met, and the fixed wiring equals or exceeds this size taking into account the usual derating factors I personally can't see an issue with a lower rated breaker.
Worst case is that it trips at Christmas?
