Some Tendering advice would be great

Hi all,

I would like to give tendering a go, instead of relying on customers coming to me.

Ive been around a good few years now, my company is well established with a good customer base.

I want more though.

What are the pro's and cons

I would appreciate it if anyone with the experience could point me in the right direction/ give me some pointers on the process etc

best way contact some companies, enquire about how you get on their tender list if you get the right response they will probably send you out some forms to fill out & if you tick the boxes then most likely will be accepted to tender.

Just be aware you could be used to "make up numbers" in a bidding process, or used to keep the preferred contractor "honest"

I was going to mention that but did not want to put him off straight away, you might have to price quite a few before you even get considered.

Ok as it is the arms.
Depending on the job you could be Tendering projects for a day or weeks,
Just finished one today for £270K+ been working on that for about 4 days solid & another 2 days building quote at same time, but we have been doing the work for 4 years now, but to get the job I still have to be close on tender to the others.
Last job was 94K ish & I was over by 1K I still got the job as it was as you say to keep me honest.
