Well that was a new one for me. Took chasing out to another level :goofy::dizzy2:

Part of the job we're on is installing various floor sockets and a feed to the kitchen island.

Concrete floors, no worries I thought we only need a 30mm deep chase (PVC conduit going in there) I'll go and hire a Hilti chaser and extractor ----> Hilti Online - DC-SE 20 Wall chaser

Managed about 3 meters and the blades were shot, right back down hire shop new blades and back to it..... same again !! WTF

In the end had to give my builder friend a quick buzz and borrow his Stihl petrol disc cutter.

Was a hell of a job, we had 30metres to do in total - noise, dust, fumes, heavy bit of kit, as you can imagine inside the customers house so had to seal everything right up, all the doors, stairs etc. Had my labourer constantly spraying a hose on the blade and this managed to keep the dust down luckily.

Well thought share with you, anyone else had a similar issue before. Video attached....

Time for a well deserved :8: Absolutely worn out, both my forearms are still cramping up.

Thats the trouble with a Stihl boy do you know when you,ve used one,used to use them a lot and had to use one recently after not doing for a while felt like my arms were going to drop off that night.At least you sealed it off,we had a lad where i used to work did same job,power to kitchen island opened all doors as it was too dusty to see what he was doing,dont know which took longer,customer to get rid of a house full of dust or him to find another job.

Gel-padded anti-vibration gloves help here mate. Won't help the cramps, but sure stops the tingles...

Lovely job this...... got on to the wall chases today - 200 year old flint all over the place !! Nice selection of 25mm conduits to get in there also (not even for our cabling : AV/cat 6 stuff - etc by others)

:mad2::mad2:

Oh well I do like a challenge.

Luckily I've priced this right an allowed a decent chunk for WTF factor.

depends on the model of stihlsaw your using n all.....the old TS350 didn`t have the anti vibe handles on em......TS400..and the TS410 have the anti vibe handles which cuts down the shakes considerably..lol.....

Is that you in the vid sythai?

Good makeshift job of keeping the dust down there!

Yep thats me on the cutter, my bro on the hose - kept changing around every 10 mins or so, it's a right killer on the shoulders.

Place was soaked when done but customer was more than happy with minimal dust - was dried right out when back this morning
