Inquiry about household cable.
I was cutting a cable tie off my LG monitor power cable and seem to have nicked the outer sheath. The cable looks intact, works and has been working for hours, and no copper or wire seems to be exposed. The nick is almost microscopic and I had to use my phone to zoom in to see the damage. Sorry for the seemingly silly question, but is this definitely safe to continue using? It’s a UK 19.5V mains cable from an adapter powering a monitor. I am very conscious of fire hazards in my home and want to rule this one out if possible. I would normally replace the cable but this is £50 to replace. Thank you. IMG_2675.jpeg
