Evening everyone,

So i'm treating myself for my birthday and i'm getting a Veto bag. I've already decided on the open top range but i'm unsure wether to get the OT-XL or the OT-XXL :/

The XXL looks HUGE but I need to fit all my drivers, pliers, snips etc in and it's the bigger things such as my hacksaw, level, 18v drill that might not fit into the XL. The obvious thing is to look at dimensions and what not but it's a different story when you actually try and squash it all in. Anyone got either bag and if so what do you reckon? Will the XL fit all the gear or is that more for basic hand tools? If anyone knows anywhere in the north west that stocks them aswell so i can go check them out that'd help

Cheers in advance,

Daley

i can easily fit it all im my xxl-f which is smaller inside than the ot because it has two sections instead of one.

i went for the xxl because the xl looked too small and the xxl too big

bigger is better than too small, be aware they can get fffing heavy.

mine is over 25kg at the moment, ill weigh in the morning to expand on it,

have you thought about the veto ct-lc

it looks good for all your drills etc

There is a massive difference between the two in size, the XL isn't much bigger than the LC... Bit the XXL is on a other level. Exactly, the weight of the XXL when full would do me in, i'd be stopping for a brew every time i'd have to move it (any excuse) haha

the new apprentice cant lift my bag lol, he was blue in the face after less than 10feet.

i told him not to carry, the others said dont lift it if its too heavy but ignored them, i went up picked up it with one hand and slung it on my shoulder lol

its 5kg unloaded i believe

Hahaha nightmare! I had all that as an apprentice, there was one bloke who had two bags and a drill box... I'd make three trips they were that heavy, he'd bring it in one hand! Wouldn't mind but he never opened one bag, sure it was full of bricks the b*****d haha

the guy is lazy so they got him to carry my bag down the scaffold when i spotted them lol.

we might both be apprentices but i was never that dopey, might have been cause i went sixthform, college then apprentaship lol (near the end of mine)

he should be happy i had taken out my 5lb lump hammer, bolster and a load of other heavy tools already lol

I had an apprentice, lazy little sod he'd never want to use his tools as he preferred not to get them dirty!
I put a slim concrete slip in the bottom of his bag and covered it with his tools.....
6 weeks later heard him say
"Hey who put this block in my bag!"

Hope you didn't pour it in wet!

Hi,

I have got two OT-XL Bags, worth every penny, I like to keep them organised. I have just added a couple of new screwdrivers to my expanding collection and they all fit nicely! See pic just taken whilst on my shelf!

30/31 drivers Uk you've definitely got a fetish!
Looks like you've the full range , different heads or is there 2 of each type?

I've only ones I have two of are things like PZ2 and PZ1 and 3.5mm x0.5mm as I have them in the narrow shaft version if you know what I mean, but I use the majority of my kit every day.

I do have a tendency to buy everything I see, I like to thing I have the tool for the job instead of getting to site and think odd I wish I had one if them right now!

as said before and will always recommend, I use sainsburys cheap wet wipes and clean all my kit every few weeks and give all the pliers a shot of wd40 to keep them nice and free.

if you look after your kit it will last a lot longer and look after you.

Cheers for the pictures UK, i can tell i'd need the XXL now, i'm the same as you with drivers, bought wera slimline and big pack so spoilt for choice haha
