What wireless smokes are you referring to Pict?

If you're talking about radio bases to provide interlinking, the yes (in Scotland at least) they are an acceptable method. Obviously, they and the smoke/heat detector are mains supplied.
Regards.

Hi A customer wants wireless heat and smokes, he ordered them and they are the Thermistek fire angle brand, no provision for mains supply, heats are stand alone not linked smokes are wireless and interlinked again no provision for mains supply

If the work being done requires building warrant, then in a standard domestic situation, detectors must be mains powered with battery back-up and interlinked (can't recall the Grade designation off hand).

If the smokes are battery only, then they will only conform as a Grade F installation.....If this is a private dwelling with not alterations being done, then the customer can have what they want. If BC are involved then minimum Grade D applies, install to LD3 in England or LD2 in Scotland
