..Cows, I hate the blinkng things .....
(The big eyes -freak me a little)
Had option to cross a field full of them often ..a good short-cut in the dry . I'm not sure if a stick ,is the item to carry -- I think they are like horses if they see opportunity (carry a stick/crop=more-respect).
(strangely they all only seem to know 1x moo noise individually=Not that bright )

We having cow again tonite, as the roasting of the top rump last night, spectacularly failed.

Hopefully a curry, will render the tough as old boots joint, into something more palatable.

I paid over the odds for a roasting joint from the village Butcher, turned out like boot leather, now my Mrs is an excellent cook, never had a bad meal in47 years so I aint blaming her, good mind to take it back, but sure as eggs is eggs he will blame the cook, curry sounds a good option.

I love cooking... must be the WOP in me...

anyone else have the problem of women, although being generally excellent cooks, always tend to overcook meat. e.g. a beef joint. it should be pink in the middle and not capable of being cut with a spoon. likewise, if veg. can be mashed with a fork, they're well overdone.

Like a wholesaler with a bit of 'overcooked' equipment...:(
....get rid of the black charring and take it back ;)

I was using the probe method last night, one minute it was 45', next it was 75'. You could use it as shoe leather.

This is where people differ. I like my steaks medium-rare (Unless in the USA) and the missus likes it well done.
We both don't like hard veg.

pre heat oven to 190 C. 20 minutes a pound max. anything more, it's cremation.

Yep me as well, can't abide mushy Brussels, cabbage or any other type of veg. Found a Steakhouse in Ottawa, best steak I ever had, mind you no veg just chips, or pomme frits as they called them.

I'm hungry now you buggers.... :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Them Yanks don't eat veg, do they. Just salad covered in dressing.

Last time I was in Florida I forgot that the yanks cook it differently.
When I asked for medium-rare I got rare... Still ate it thought.. blood and all...

20mins per 450 gram, plus 20. But take out at the last 20, and let it rest.

Edit, don't listen to me.

Instructions say 25mins per 500 gram, plus 20.
I'm going with that... The missus really really doesn't like it bloody. and she will beat me up if she sees any...

That's what I did last night, it was like rubber (160' oven).

It's been ok in the past mate... I'll see how it goes and just keep checking it after 45 mins...

Happy new year to you all. Let’s hope it’s a good one for all of us and we can all keep the nasty tax man away from our doors and leave ourselves with massive pay packets that On The Tools keep throwing around.

what use is that? might just as well get a tin of campbell's meatballs. beef should be a healthy excercise for your teeth.
