    On the fiddle ______________

The return 'fake neutral' is 16mm same as the live conductors, the consumer unit is fed by a 16mm 3core SWA.

    On the fiddle ______________

Yes maybe it does register usage so they can just toggle between 'free' and 'paid for' not to arise any suspicion, and/or if any one comes to check everything seems to operate correctly.

    On the fiddle ______________

Diagram looks right to me, I'm not sure if the meter was 'registering usage' it merely sprang to life. The conclusion I came to is that the meter must need a neutral terminated 'to it' to operate and read correctly.

    On the fiddle ______________

https://ibb.co/qRhctQk Came across this setup today, upon further investigation i noticed the distributors neutral terminal completly slackened off in the meter (looked intentional) is this to prevent any possible current from returning via the meter? With the 1g switch (just above DB) turned...

    --------Downlighter fault!!---------

I drew the diagram out for this so I could understand it easier and yes its definitely likely as the neutrals on the fittings aren't hard fixed and are magically looped somewhere under the cover of the fitting, just trying to think of the best way to test this theory? Disconnect all fittings...

    --------Downlighter fault!!---------

I will try to explain this as best as I can, Wired 18 downlights in two rows of 9, The downlights were wired in 3core and earth cable so two switch wires could be used to switch the downlights however the customer wished. It was opted for the lights to be switched in banks of two on alternating...

Problem is, is that the neutral is shared...

    Open Ring

When a open r1 conductor is observed on end to end measurements what is a suitable observation to note on the inspection schedule? Would Co- ordination between conductor and overload device be included because the CCC has now been affected. Thanks
