Bug Report: Please Fix Clicking "Unread Posts" and it loading the bottom of the page

Can you also fix this thing that's started lately where you click on a thread with unread posts and it scrolls right to the very bottom. Then you have to scroll right up to find the last post(s) that you haven't read yet. Very annoying. Cheers.

    Cable moling/marking

Afternoon all. Was wondering, when cables are run underground using mole/tunneling methods, how do people get around the requirement to mark underground cables with tape?

Few photos from the weekend's visit, thought they might be of interest to some on here. Apologies for the quality, I should have forced flash on. Light was 'murky'.

    Mistakes in IET GN3

Was looking through the 18th regs edition of GN3 the other day, and noticed these mistakes. Page 29 (415.1.1) - the wording doesn't make sense - I think it should say '...lack of additional protection....' Page 48 - 'mathematical' is spelt wrongly (same in the earlier version also) Page 53 -...

    Bonding of 2 gas pipes

Morning all, and happy Friday! I feel I should know the answer to this one, but I'm not certain, even after consulting GN8. A friend of mine has a semi-detached house with two copper gas pipes entering, one for the cooker and one for the boiler in the loft. They join together outside and are...

    Guess the item (old screwdrivers)

Morning all. Someone on here was talking about Yankee screwdrivers a few days ago. I still use one of them occasionally at home - it was my late father's and is roughly 45 years old I think. And still works perfectly, and the original bits are still fine, which goes to show how well they made...

    What's this? (Lamp post related)

The lamp posts on a small lane near me have had blue triangles painted in front of them. It looks like these are to mark the presence of a small metal pin, similar in appearance to a rivet. Anyone know what they are for? Too small to be an earth rod.

    18th Regs exam today

Morning all. Passed my C&G 2382-18 18th regs exam this morning - 95%, which works out at 57/60 correct, so I 'm chuffed with that. There were no questions at all on EVs or SPDs, despite the practice exams all having them. I guess the computer picked other things from the pool. Happy Thursday ?

    'Modern Electric Wiring'

Evening all. Does anyone want to buy a copy of 'Modern Electric Wiring'? Have ended up with some duplicate books in my collection. Published by Caxton, hardback, 1950 (66 years old). Was after a tenner but that would include postage. Mods - if this isn't allowed let me know, cheers. Daz
