Few photos from the weekend's visit, thought they might be of interest to some on here. Apologies for the quality, I should have forced flash on. Light was 'murky'.

I have worked or raf base before, the man on the gate with the gun suggested in strong terms that photography was a BAD IDEA!

if this is anything other than a disused bunker or a museum, I think taking the post backdown would be in your best interests.

Open to the public, don't worry. I ain't stupid ?

I actually own an ex military underground bunker, but the only electrics in mine is a couple of 12 volt lamps, a switch, and a couple of croc. clips to attach to a battery.

An ROC post? Which one is it?

there's one near Nantwich. AA signs allover the place pointing to "Secret Bunker".

There are still stacks of ROC posts scattered around the UK. Left over from the nuclear threat. Some interior shots HERE
I spent a lot of time in one of those in the sixties.
I remember the stirrup pump well for raising the radio mast, and the individual Dosimeter to tell us if we were goosed or not in the event of surviving a blast.
