I haven't installed it, don't worry.
I bougt this ceiling light that came with a metal housing and no ceiling rose. The only thing in there was this plastic junction box for the L/N wires.
Means I'll have to use some Wago connectors to make up for the ceiling rose. But what about ground?
Looking for a little advise as I’m not sure what’s happening
So I’m looking at moving a two way light switch probably about 100cm away from its current location as it’s obstructed

The ends of the cables are completely sealed and there is nothing in the instructures that suggests I have to manually cut the plastic ends off to expose the metal pins inside but I can't understand how else I'm supposed to use them with this or any other multimeter. Is this a thing with probe...
I'll try to cut a long story short... Just purchased a new property, which it transpires was being used as a cannabis farm by the previous owner who now lives abroad. Yes, they lied on their vendor checklist. On moving in I noted that there was no supply and called the supplier to get the power...
Hello all.

Just bought a house with a 16mm 3 core SWA, 15m long, clipped around the side of the house low level. This feeds the double garage.
It has it's own 100A fused isolator in a kitchen...
Hi,
I hope that someone here might be able to put my mind at rest. I have an engineering mind and a reasonable understanding of electical work, but I'm not confident on this area and want to ensure the safety of my family.
I purchased a bestway splasher pool a few years ago (holds around...

Let me explain what we're seeing here.
This is an enclosure mounted on a post near the driveway. The source wire coming up from the black pipe is fed from a 30amp double pole breaker in the house panel. Not sure if the white wire coming from the house is neutral or ground. The wire does...
I'm in the UK and I'm trying to fit a Smart 2-gang switch to control outdoor lights. I looked at the back of the existing switch and saw a black wire I assumed to be a neutral wire. So I bought a 'neutral switch'. I'm not sure now. You can see a photo of the existing switch connections and the...
