I just moved in and had rooms prewired for fans. There are two switches on wall. My new fan has remote controlling fan and light. I removed ceiling fixture which had two bulbs. From ceiling are two sets of black and white wires and on set had ground. My fan only had one black and one white and ground , I connected both whites from ceiling to white on fan. Same for blacks. Connected ground to ground, the fan and light work fine using only 1 wall switch and remote. The motor buzzes a bit. I have already installed these minkeaire fans in other home and the are noiseless. Could my wiring cause buzz? Does my wiring sound correct? Thank you

John I doubt that your wiring is causing your fan to buzz. If it wouldn’t start that would be a different story
