    Contactum MCB

    Hi, I will be upgrading a shower shortly. The existing unit is 7kW and I'm fitting a 9kW unit. Does anyone know where I can obtain a Contactum 40A MCB from. I can't find any supplier that stock the type on the photo (9040B). Or is there an equivalent that fits this CU ? (Contactum P12/80N)

    Are contactum any good?

    I have a single phase domestic instal on friday and I need to replace the consumer unit. I notice on the TLC website they sell contactum stuff really cheap; RCBOs for £19, a split load cu with 2 80A RCDs for £46 and mcbs for £2. Is this a really good deal or is contactum stuff really poor...

    RCD not tripping

    Last month I changed a consumer unit and all was well. Now neither of the RCD's are tripping correctly. I get either >50v or >40ms. Could this be 2 faulty RCD's? the make is Contactum and the elecsa guy I spoke to today didn't seem too keen on them. Idea's most welcome Carl

    Contactum RCBO won't trip during test

    Hi again, just considering whether I'm going crazy or I've got a duff RCBO. Perhaps someone will help me see the light either way. Quite prepared for the former! Installed it yesterday and when I got to doing the certificate I couldn't get it to trip. It's one of the ones with no earth wire...

    Contactum RCD problem

    I've done some work in a house, tried to test it, but the rcd trips out when i do an earth loop and when i do rcd tests (at half, 1 and 5 times) I bypassed the rcd to get a result for my earth loop test, but the rcd test is still a problem.I ordered a new rcd, fitted it, and I'm still getting...

    Contactum ? - Wylex ?

    I have been given an order to upgrade a consumer in a house amongst other remedial works. The existing unit is a contactum and contains MCB`s which ideally I could swap for RCBO`s. However I cant get hold of contactum RCBO`s quick enougth and at the right price, so I was wondering if anyone knew...
