    distance of sockets to a gas cooker

    Hi all does anyone know any reg that tells you the minimum distance of a socket to a gas cooker ? In my kitchen I want to install a new gas cooker which is 900mm wide. the distance between the two sockets is 910mm. what would be the best way to solve this problem. many thanks in advance
