Tripping RCD

Hi All My customer has just called to say her RCD main switch trips when the washing machine is on - only happens with the W/M and when it is approaching the spin cycle. Machine is 3 years old but has just been moved from her old house - no problems with it at the old house. Is it likely to be...

neutral earth fault split load cu

been working with another spark today on a job where the rcd keeps tripping intermittentley all legs clear >299Mohms. Lighting is on non rcd side all clear apart from 1 c/ct down to 0.49Mohms the other spark reckons this was taking the rcd out i disagreed and just wanted some1 else to tell me...

Code 2 for "INSUFFICIENT SOCKETS FOR MODERN DAY LIVING"

Hi everyone, I was emailed a job today, with a PIR attached. What I couldn't belive is that a ELECSA registed Electrician had written down as an observation. "INSUFFICIENT SOCKETS FOR MODERN DAY LIVING" Code 2 Any thoughts?? Andy

0.00ohms,looptest at board.

hi,folks can anyone tell me why i get a loop value of 0.00 ohms at the supply to a sub dist board (incommer)but when i loop test at the sockets off the board i get what's expected 0.34 and so on. appreciate your knowlege guy's thanks mazo.:)

light switches in bathrooms -

17th says that a lightswitch can be 0.6M from the bath/shower edge as long as it is suitable for its position. - Have any of you heard of anyone getting a shock from a light switch with wet hands?? The Switch is existing and obviously best to fit a pull switch ,- but customer knows not to touch...
