    Do Induction Hobs have to be fit by a Professional?

    Hi, I have recently heard that to fit a ceramic or induction hob, a professional electrician must do it so that you get the correct certificates etc to show when you want to sell your house one day...is this true? Does that mean I can never fit anything myself? JLO

    I run a small data installations company and regularly get asked to do additional sockets, ring mains, lighting alterations, etc whilst on site doing the data cabling.
