    Do Induction Hobs have to be fit by a Professional?

    Hi, I have recently heard that to fit a ceramic or induction hob, a professional electrician must do it so that you get the correct certificates etc to show when you want to sell your house one day...is this true? Does that mean I can never fit anything myself? JLO

    I run a small data installations company and regularly get asked to do additional sockets, ring mains, lighting alterations, etc whilst on site doing the data cabling. Sometimes this leads to me not getting jobs as using a contractor to do the electrical work pushes my price through the roof...
