When did bs3871 M9 breakers first come into use?

Presumably they were already being made and when BS3871 came into force in 1965 the manufacturers then ensured compliance with BS3871 (after a while)

Then I came across this, yesterday.........

I know Stotz was a pioneer in the 30's but 3871?

Had me for a moment there and I had to check dates.:detective:
Then I look at the picture in more detail and see the scratch across the number and the poor quality printing.
I think this is more likely.
