OFGEM just published this: https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/system/fil...1_february_8_march_31_2016_as_of_09022016.pdf

Small PV is OK but the standalone cap was reached after just 1 hour of the new scheme being in effect. The next quarter is probably already filled by now as well.

PV >50kW has allocated about 40% of the cap already.

Mid-size wind was all allocated within minutes, with the queue full for the rest of the year.

This is not good for many reasons. Not only the caps being reached so quickly (I guess there were plenty in the queue from 15th Jan) but the fact that this data covers just the first 24 hours of the new cap scheme and it has taken OFGEM 4 days to publish it. Also they are only planning to issue the next update next Friday. I was expecting live data to be available on their website.

DECC are almost certainly going to react and will set the FiT tariff to zero for some of the bands.

Hi Ted, do pre-accredited systems count in the cap, or are they excluded? If they are included, then the next quarter has already met its cap for stand-alone systems as those last few projects get built.

Any systems that were pre-accredited before 1st October 2015 are excluded from the cap calculations.

Other than this, the size of systems that apply for pre-accreditation is included in the cap calculations.
