Airflow icon 30 fans

Hi and hello from this new member

just wondered if anyone else has had any trouble with the humidi/timer units in these fans shorting out?
i have been fitting these as spec on local authority jobs but the control unit has shorted on the printed circuit board on several differant jobs
airflow say there is not a know issue regarding this matter? any feed back welcome.

If these are the fans I'm thinking of I've fitted a good few and never had a problem. That doesn't rule out a faulty batch though and manufacturers often claim that something isn't their problem

gonna stop using them this is about the sixth one now had same prob with both mains and low voltage models think i may ask airflow to send someone out its costing me a fortune!

I had problems with them last year, also for local authority. Not sure about the 30ltr ones if they are the same design but We used the icon airflow 15 with the click in module. we changed loads of the things that stuck on and would not turn off and after no help whatsoever from the manufacturers so we changed back to the va100 range from vent axia, not the best option as they are made out in poland now so i understand but so far so good. Would not touch another icon after the time we have wasted on them.

ye same model nightmare, spoken to airflow today asked me to send control back for testing, which they did before, but manage to lose all recollection of our conversation and test results when i rang back .got a contact name this time. ill let you know the outcome
