COVID-19 Contractor Communication 16.3.20
Dear Contractor

In response to the ongoing threat of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are closely following the advice from the UK Government. The safety of our customers, staff and wider community is our number one priority.

We want to provide some clarity for our customers regarding the following:

Cancellation Policy

  • Any COVID-19 related cancellations will not result in a cancellation charge

For Contractors with assessments in the next two weeks:

  • Your Area Engineer will be in touch with you to ensure that all parties are happy to continue with the assessment
you would think they would cancel till next year considering this is bigger then them .
As you are all aware COVID-19 is an unprecedented situation, that we are adapting to daily.

Our Business Continuity plans continue to be reviewed as the situation develops and we will be updating our website regularly, promoting the same message on Social Media.

Please visit the NICEIC or ELECSA website for updated information.

Any thoughts on whether NICEIC will suspend direct debits and payments due at the start of April?

If we're on full lockdown and can't work how are we expected to pay a lump fee like that. Have seen no information so far regarding their fee.

It reduces as the year goes on so I think we should be able to freeze our payments, remain listed with them and then pay a lower fee once lockdown is lifted.

Thoughts?
