A question for you guys. Do the screw croppers on these tools actual work? without ruining the thread at the end?

Yes and no :devilish:
If you have a nut available, thread that on the bolt first to a point below the cut line, then after you have made your cut as you take the nut off, it corrects any thread problems that the cutting has caused.

Certainly makes sense. I've got M3 and M4 nuts, not sure about M3.5 - I might have a dig around in the garage at some point.....
