Hello everyone by now you must be sick of me writing on here but i have a couple more questions i was wondering if anyone coiuld answer them?
does anyone know what kind of apprentice wage arthur mckay offer and how often i would be getting paid?

many thank Lee

Concur with Pete. Best advise I could give, is be yourself. Might not get you the job, but you'll not dig holes for yourself in an interview, with answers that are not you.

Good luck.

The other bit of advice I should of given you, was when the interviewer ask you if you have any questions, ask how much the salary is and do you get paid weekly or monthly :)

I wouldn't worry about that for now, as it appears you have an apprenticeship.

Call the company's HR department. They will be putting together offer documents.

Say something like "I was so excitied at the prospect of working for you that I completely forgot to ask about pay and holidays."

better idea of a tool set would be the CK magma kit.

not cheap when you add the VAT, but decent tools should last for years.

as pete said, the tools you linked to are no use for electrical work.

as an apprentice, though, i would think you only need a a few tools and i suggest this as a start:

VDE driver set
VDE sidecutters
junior hacksaw
vde pliers
16oz.claw hammer
4lb. lump hammer.
bolster chisel
scutch chisel
approved voltage tester like a fluke T5-600 (there are cheaper ones).

I absolutely agree. The (VDE) screwdrivers that you need will have insulation all the way up the blade.

In my opinion, wait until you see the list, post it on here - you'll get a lot of help.

PS Did you sort out if you'll get paid?

a tip from an old hand. when at work, keep your ears open and your gob shut (except when you need to ask a question of your mentor) and either leave your mobile phone at home or switched off except at break times.

oh, and any technical queries you have, feel free to post on here. sure the lads will be happy to help, even the grumpy old farts like me and pete999. :D
