Been to a job today, normal job customer wanted new socket for a fish tank in the room. Well I quoted £40 to install but not make good. Pretty happy they accepted the quote.. Just to give you an idear concrete floor one socket on other side of room but perfect access from cupboard above in bedroom. Anyway when i sujested chasing they say the last spark said he could just install a socket with no chase.. I say Trunking??.. no external trunking??? .. No. So how did he suggest getting the cable there? He didn't but said it wouldn't be a proble ..

My guess is he was just talking about clipping some T&E straight down the wall. Rough as, but very cheap.

Done that in a beautiful Victorian villa here in Guernsey, which has so many original features and fittings that even the wallpaper is listed. Rewiring that without damaging the wallpaper and lath and plaster was a giggle!

Say Extra 20 quid and I'll fill in any mess I make and I promise not to wash my bucket out in your fish tank or tell her to get the Magian back in
