Had the misfortune to be supplied with some 25mm tails from this manufacturer this week. Very stiff, springy and difficult to bend. Even worse the insulation is so hard and brittle it actually splits lengthways along the cable if an attempt is made to bend the cable close to a stripped end.
Steer well clear. Was supplied by CEF.

haha. was in screwfix today and ordering some CW SWA glands. on their computer screen was the description " complete with ceiling glands".

I was in a batt cables factory up in Livingston a couple of months ago, i have never seen as much cable in one place in my life... i was collecting some armoured cable i ordered through eddies, there was a Yess electrical van pulled up while i was there as well so i suspect they supply a lot of wholesalers.

Might have just been a bad batch?

It's obviously faulty cable then, whatever you do don't use it! Use alternative cable and contact the wholesaler and/or the manufacturer about the faulty cable.

I have used Batt cables many many times over the years mainly for the larger stuff 150mm 4 core 185mm 4core 300mm singles and never ever had a problem.
Must just be a bad batch.

only ever had one bad batch of cable.

i say a bad batch, they ran out of ink for the cable markers lol

19core fp with no markings on inner cores (had 16 of them between two panels)

....Don't be such a big girls blouse.....bell em'out....adapt and survive :joker:
