just dug out old AVO 8 Mk IV, been sitting in cupboard 10 years. bunged in new batteries and gave it a run. several resistors showed within 5%. volts checked 237 on AVO compared to 236.5 on calibrated MFT. AVO 8 last calib. was Aug,1985.

Don't blame you,pal ?

I've been isolating,by working in the cold and wet, where no self-respecting virus would lurk ?

Got me old fellas 2nd vaccine done,Saturday...just need me ma's first, now, and can relax a tad...loads of pals and associates here, who have got the lurgy...?

Calibration is more about confidence and not about accuracy as most stuff is not adjusted, just verified.

I'm sure we have all seen odd measurements at some point in our careers and eventually binned or repaired a broken meter though :( If lucky it is just a new battery needed...

My last Elecsa assessor advised that I didn't need an annual calibration certificate so long as you can show a record that you've checked it using a check box of card etc.
