Can I use pliers with jelly crimps?

I want to connect some telephone cable with jelly crimps. Can I use pliers or is it necessary to use the jelly crimps?

Just needs to be pressed down in parallel, there are special pliers but care will be sufficient. My opinion.

Yes, you can use pliers to crimp jelly crimps.
Using jelly crimps to crimp jelly crimps would not work.

Water pump pliers are a good alternative. The correct tool is available quite cheaply though.

I think you'll find a knife and fork work quite well with jellied crimps.

I feel my experience in adaptation,would allow me to do this task,using two rocks,a set of BBQ tongs...or even a suitably sized cockatoo
