If you're a qualified, trainee, or retired electrician - Which country is it that your work will be / is / was aimed at?
United Kingdom
What type of forum member are you?
Practising Electrician (Qualified - Domestic or Commercial etc)
If we satisfy all the usual criteria of a special use circuit like labelling, protection etc, can we install foreign socket outlets in UK domestics by special request for equipment sourced from abroad, rather than chopping plugs off?

I've posted this here rather than the main forum as wouldn't want the DIY'ers to make a rush for fleebay!!!!

All the aggro of doing that when you could just change the plug or use a universal travel adaptor.

you can install anything that is of at least the same standard as BS7671 or other apropriate standard. you woulde need to research it though i think, and reference the appropriate standard on your EIC

I would be carefull about installing european sockets on a ring.
Ther is no way to limit the load from the applianceappliance at least with rings you have overcurrent protection with the fuse in the plug.

If its a new install i would think about doing 4mm radial circuits on a 32A or 2.5mm on a 20A
