Am I getting stronger or are they making these drivers out of solder.

I got fed up with loads of odd drivers so bought a nice new set of CK drivers, only few weeks and 4 of the 7 in the kit have snapped. What a load of rubbish, I know we are all guilty of using them for all sorts of things it was not designed for but these all went in good condition and only being used on the screws of that size.
So out with the odd spare ones again then.

There was an poor tempering issue (tips over-hard) with CK drivers a few years ago, the odd few still turn up from dealers with slow moving stock and particularly in the CK toolkits. Contact CK and return the drivers as they offered to replace all the poorly manufactured stock free of charge.

There was another screwdriver thread on here somewhere, I am sure someone said CK had a manufacturing error that over hardened, contact CK and ask for replacements, if you don't ask you don't know.

EDIT:

Markiesparkie beat me too it!!

I use wera screwdrivers I've snapped nearly all of them but are replaced as long as they haven't been hammered with a lifetime guarantee I've also had irizola and ck and snapped them also even after having them for only 10 mins :(
