Wiring the house currently...

I've run a shotgun cable to the living room for the sky+ etc and purchased a white surround plate which houses a clip in Tv,Fm, 2x sky plus adapter thingy ma jig...

My first question is, should I still run down and terminate a single coaxial cable? The shotgun cable will cover all of these however if the skydish is removed then it would need to be reconnected to the aerial...?

My second question is, I've totally forgotten it... It'll come to me!

More cables the better to cover any eventuality especially if decorating. But if the dish was removed it could in theory be diverted and extended if needed to a aerial.

I've done all the chasing and to add another two boxes on the wall would send my new neighbour over the edge I think... (I have wired two corners the same to be able to shift the room around)

What I might do is pull a wire down the capped part and a coil of coax above run to the loft just in case...

Ill certainly be having a sky dish anyway so will be fine for my purposes.

Thanks for the help!

You'll need that single coax if you're distributing the sky around the other rooms in the house too, i've got 4 singles running to my tv where the skybox is, two from the dish, one to the loft distribution and the other is the aerial cable to which the cctv is tapped into via an rf modulator so i get all signals at every tv in the house

Thanks guys, I have the two shotguns from the living room to the loft and also a single coax to each room to the same place in the loft... All the other stuff is a little beyond what I know about it to be honest... I just want to be able to watch the tele.

I have run screened CAT5's to ever room including 2 to each tv point in the front room (4 in total).

I might slightly change my plans now and get some of those single brush plates and have the coaxial and shotgun cables pop out of those instead of terminating them... Has anyone else got these? Do they look good or are visible cables unsightly?
