How do I stop Dan from emailing me with junk? I've tried to ignore him but I get this message.

"Sorry Dan is a moderator/admin and you are not allowed to ignore him or her."

Dan basically owns the forum. It's not junk or spam, Dan takes great pride in this service which we all enjoy.

In your preferences you can set e-mail notifications.

To not receive emails from the forum you need to uncheck the box here:
http://www.electriciansforums.net/profile.php?do=editoptions

Under "Messaging and Notification Options"

The box says "receive emails from administrators".

To stop thread subscription emails (which also come from my email address) you need to edit the other options on that page.

You can setup your account at any time, and even when registering, to stop ALL emails from the forum if you wish.

Clicking "ignore user" would hide their posts from just yourself. And isn't anything to do with the emails.

You can't ignore admins or mods, as they can often give you a polite warning in a thread if you're taking it off topic or whatever.

Sorry to have caused you inconvenience there. But the emails aren't spam that come from the forum in my opinion, and of course at any time you can stop them.
