DCS Tutorial Help

Couple of questions in a tutorial on DCS which I don't have any information on, and would appreciate some help/pointers as the questions are unambiguous.

1. Explain the levels of a distributed system from fiels device to commercial data processing.
2. Explain what is meant by high and low level systems.
