Hi,
I have a di- log9118 and it wont a continuity reading on the earth pin. I can get continuity from the other 2 pins. I have taken it apart and all the internals seem to be fine, are firmware issues common on this model ?

Cheers.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Was an earth continuity test, The reading was >200. I just done a test with the cables/croc clips connected to the pins on the meter and there is no continuity between L and E and also between N and E but I can get a result between L and n.

Thanks

Have you read the instructions for your meter? Is your tester definitely set to continuity? Only 2 leads are used whilst doing a continuity test. It looks like live and neutral are the 2 used in your situation. The colours of these leads is totally irrelevant during this test and different tester use different leads.

As @MJPD29 said, you don't use the middle pin.
