is in your vehicle when it is parked up

This makes interesting reading although the concept has been around for a while

Rather interesting that they are paying a generous!!!! 15p / kwh taken from your EV given the current hikes in energy prices and no mention of how much the recharge kwh's cost, with range on EV's a big issue how much do they take and do they leave you with some range or do they drain it completely at times of high energy use.

Brings a whole different take on range anxiety not knowing how charged or not your vehicle might be when you need it

I heard about this when I did an NIC course on EV charging.

It’s an opt-in arrangement, and I thought it was already being used.

If you do minimal driving each day, and charge every night… then it can be good for the customer… getting a little back when the car isn’t being used…
But conversely… if you do a lot of miles on a daily basis, then you can’t afford to lose any of the overnight charge if you need it the following day.

That was my point about getting a little back if you have paid 20p / kwh to charge your vehicle selling back at 15p / kwh would mean you lose out

True, that makes little sense. If they really mean they pay you 15p/kWh more than you paid in the first place it starts to be attractive!

But as already mentioned, only if you are not pushing the battery range on any given day's travel. So good for commuters' cars but poor for works vans.
