I have a customer building a structure outside to house 20 or so tropical fish tanks.
Can't find any info re-electrics/protection livestock, other than cows legs -;).
I would guess at this stage (not seen the job yet) I will need to run a 10mm 3core swa to the shed (approx 7 metres from house.

Fed via 40a rcd...anyhow it would be a major upset if it tripped (nuisance trip) 1000's of expensive tropics floating on the top if off for a day or 2, especially in winter.

I could use seperate rcd sockets, but no good if the feed also needs rcd protection, does the feed need protecting even in special circumstances?
Any way round this prob?

if you use swa for the supply no rcd needed up till the shed board but skts will require rcd protection so i would wire in shed surface and use rcd socket so that if a fault does accure you only loose that socket
as this is for fish chances are there will be a water service in shed so you may have to tt this supply anyway
