I emailed FLUKE and they didn't even respond, so much for SUPPORT.

Firstly when using the Continuity function ( Low Ohms) the options include
  • test current 10ma/250ma, which the manual suggest 10ma if rcd tripping is to be prevented. Who test continuity on live circuits ????????.
  • test current polarity. The only application that I see it being used is for diode applications and being equivalent to lead reversal.

If checking the settings for test current with resistors of known values the two options provide different results. The users manual does not provide any usable information . Can anyone shed some light on these options.

Secondly the Earth Stake resistance function " Re" which requires fly leads which will have resistance but unlike other options do not need zeroing or have the option.??????????

Any members with any tips, tricks or advice are welcome to reply

If you look at the diagram for this test it is only measuring the resistance between each stake. So as long as all the leads are of the same length and type it won't matter what the lead resistance is.
