It's more to do with the tories and their hypocrisy/how they look after their own than anything else. What we'd class as normal people don't do this sort of thing as they can't afford to keep horses and a bloody great pack of dogs bred specifically for this purpose. Therefore the government don't give a damn about what we think.

I agree Trev but they should also ban the slaughter of 1000's of animals daily in such a barbaric way.

Fox Hunting, a very curious pursuit. It was a fox that killed my daughters two rabbits, have never forgiven the whole fox population, but fox hunting as seen on TV, with the dressing up and lots of dogs , well is just ridiculous. Equally ridiculous is a method of slaughter based on a religion.... you could not make this up could you.... I eat a lot of chicken, I just hope / presume it has been killed with no suffering but TBH I don't really know what goes on at the slaughter house.

The irish never really got the jist of halal. One company last year was producing halal sausages which contained pork dna. Then there was the man in my avatar who agreed to supply the iraqi army with halal beef. The beef was needless to say not halal.

I think the traditional fox hunt on horseback with dogs is completely inhumane and barbaric.
I use rifles to hunt rabbits pigeons and fox -firstly I have a love for shooting, secondly it helps reduce the population for conservation purposes and thirdly its humane.
Keep the ban I say.

The tories and labour will do anything to gain votes.

I've got vague memories from the time of the Bliar regime wanting to ban Fox hunting, in order to distract from significantly more important problems that were present at the time. I definitely remember, why are you lot wasting Millions of GBP on this trivia!

Yes, winning elections is a science now.
Lies being the main tool.
Very noticeable the policies that are being rushed through recently.
Not much has happening during the last few years.
Except legalisation of gay marriage, which only benefited a minority of the population.

The point is that just because a law only benefits a small percentage of the population it doesn't mean that it's a bad law. Quite the opposite usually because that small section have often been oppressed/suppressed.
After all, what's wrong with equality?
