I know there are some threads on electrics in France, but they seem to be missing, have they been moved or deleted?

The forum has a pretty good advanced search tool. Here's all posts with the word France in them arranged by date for example. Search results for query: france - https://www.electriciansforums.net/search/677992/?q=france&o=date

Also here's all threads with france in the title Search results for query: france - https://www.electriciansforums.net/search/677993/?q=france&t=post&c[title_only]=1&o=relevance

Hope this helps. You can also make more refined searches to find threads by defining members who posted, date ranges when posted and even minimum/maximum number of posts in the thread to name just a few search perameters you can define.

Thanks Marvo, as France is our nearest neighbour and the UK propensity to buy second homes there I would have thought a separate forum for questions and information would be available, is it just that the country is not English speaking?

Electrical Advice by Country

Due to laws and regulations changing per country, we've created a country-specific forum for the few english-speaking countries we have members from. If your country isn't available yet then post in UK and we'll collate a few more then create a Country forum for you.

Yeah, not sure why France has not had the honour of its own section in the Advice By Country area. I think that area of the forum is still a work in progress. Same with Scotland and Wales which from what I gather don't follow the UK regs although I'm not UK based so please correct me if I'm wrong....

I have been a member since 2011 and it's always been like that, if it's work in progress then that progress is moribund. 🤣

"moribund"...brilliant!
I love it when up pops a word often thought to be in desuetude
