Golf Day Out in York Anyone? unnamed (1) - EletriciansForums.net

Beautiful hole you must admit. Almost had a hole in one a couple of times on it.

Summer is coming and a golf day out for the forum lads needs to be set up. I'll suggest this place, it is better through the week due to the amount of members playing at the weekend. Post up if you are interested in a day out and I'll get the prices together for us. Btw it is only ÂŁ20 per round through the week! Bargin.

If we get some numbers in I can see about getting us a deal. Breakfast then tee off or Tee off then lunch. The food is really good btw. No Handicap is required although any slow play please allow others to play through. It's a very friendly club, staff, green keepers and members alike. It even has a Spa so GMES can have his nails done after playing

Golf buddies that are not forum members are welcome so bring a mate along if you want to.

If anyone wants to set up their own golf day out in your part of the country just post it up in this sports forum section. There are a few of us knocking around in here.

I once worked for a bloke who was a keen golfer.

8 am we arrived at work and he would get us all together to tell us what he wanted us to do that day.

By 10 am he was gone to play golf and that's the last we'd see of him until the next morning.

Now I had an electric guitar and I wanted to put a different pick up on it and that involved making the cavity that the pick up sits in bigger and the simplest way was to mill it with a vertical milling machine.

And so it came to pass that one morning after the boss had gone off to his golf club I commandeered the milling machine and set about milling the guitar.

All was going well when suddenly Boss appeared. Apparently he had forgotten to take something from the office and to get to the office he had to walk right past me. I thought to myself  and he looked, did a double take, went to the office, collected what he came for and left again without saying a word!
.
It was all a bit surreal because I was supposed to be turning some bearings on the lathe at the time.

As for his golfing ability, he was hopeless and the joke of the club BUT he met a lot of influential people there and picked-up a lot of business.
