Have to say "Hi" to fellow sparkies. I just turned 55 the other week and got to wondering what happens to older sparks? Don't seem to see many older generation guys working the screwdriver. I think it goes without saying that this game is really for the young ones, but when is the right time to pack it in? As the years have gone by the rise in paper work/tests/checks/regulation changes-re-changes and all the hoop jumping extremes that we have to go through all make it a much less apealing job....certainly in my failing eyes anyway. Maybe these are indeed the signs for me to hang up my trusted screwdriver & pliers and sail off into the sunset...mmmmm....this is supposed to be a hello thread...ha..ha....Maybe I'll stick around a little longer and supervise you guys....catch you later.:wink5:

55? you're just about run in mate. i'll hang up my tools when the legs no longer work. (awaits malc's comment)
