hi, problem with baxi solo boiler. lockout lit. burner led and mains led flashing. the legend on the flap says this indicates no water flow. was working fine till i had to turn off the hot water at the hot water tank to fix a blown joint . now it's locked out. pressing the reset just leaves the mains led on it won't fire up and after a few mins goes back to lockout

Sounds like air lock......

Or a blockage - sure the joint you did is clean and hasn't restricted flow?

Is this a condensing boiler? If so, did the condenser outlet freeze while you were working on it? That would cause the symptoms you describe.

no to both last posts i,m afraid. trhe bust pipe was a redundant feed from the hot under the sink to the old washing machine . i just capped it with the old valve. water flows through all taps. the condensate froze 3 weeks ago and was disconnected and a bucket put under the boiler. it's definitely showing " no water flow, but there is water comes out of the drain above the boiler. looked at pump, no drain tap so can't bleed

it's only been in 12 months. been on phone to eagaheat for over an hour now. all our advisors are busy answering calls". B++++++KS.they are a complete load of merchant bankers. still waiting for them to fix the condensate pipework for 3 weeks. tomorrow going to phone trading standards.

nope, nothing like it. pump is in airing cupboard upstairs. boiler in garage.

Grundfos Alpha2, completely sealed no drain valves or anything like. i'll try a beer. it won't fix the heating, but it will make me feel better
