Been working under a company for 5 years and just started on my own.

Working london, just wondering of an hourly rate or day rate i suppose generally classed as acceptable as i have just been making it up as i go so far!

As you all know, doing an apprentiship you get paid squat, and staying with the company is all good, but you have to leave the nest. . .

Don't want to go under cutting myself on purpose!

i dont live in london so i dont know what the rate is down south but up north it ranges between about £120-£180 a day for a spark.

To be honest, at the moment, its probably best to price realistically, as there are plenty of good, qualified sparks willing to undercut, just to get work.

Having said that, you do still need to earn a living.
