I know very little about generating electricity so I hope that any answers will be easy to follow.
I have a power source that can produce around 1,500 rpm with gearing and I was wondering if this could be used to produce A/C power that could be sold to the national grid. What equipment would I need to do so?

What powers this power source? is it a diesel generator?

What i'm asking is, Will your device pay for itself by selling to the grid, if you have to pay for fuel for it?

I can get 1500 RMP from gearing up my wind farm and small hydro system, both are free (apart from a small maintenance cost.
