is capping off like this ok?

The socket was alrdy on just removed the front plate so they could remove more of the plaster aside it, metal backbox is fixed to the wall the wires that are coming in are live, conductors are exposed so I put each one into a wago and used electric insulation tape over the wires.

no not perm' just until the walls plastered etc it basically just looks like a first fix with metal backbox on wall wire coming in, just the conductors were exposed and i cudnt cut them short so i put them into a wago and then taped

Not sure why you would want to cut them short if it is being re-used after plastering, maybe best isolate circuit whilst actually plastering.

yep ill just turn the Circuit breaker off when they come down to do work. I just wanted to make sure it's safely capped off for the meanwhile since the circuit breaker its on is also used for the kitchen and front room lighting ill have a relook but its a single socket switch for the lighting in the living room,
