Does anybody know how much the JIB charge for their 'premium service' to get a card? This service means you can drive to the main office in sidcup nd get your card on the day. I've heard rumours of £120 but this sounds a little steep to me.

Nothing would surprise me these day's!! Seems that anything to do with electricians these days, is fair game to be be ripped off, for little or no gain to the victims...lol!!!

I renewed my JIB card recently after a few years break. All I had to do was prove my qualifications via my NI number (I served an apprenticeship), take a H&S test (£30) and I got my card in the post.

The robbing gits want £125 for a renewell or £204 for a new application!!
guess i'll be waiting the normal 4 weeks then!
