Hi Guys, I am looking to get a new tester has anyone any feedback on the new Kewtech KT63? Any views on Kewtech would be really helpful.

I have an old Kewtech (Metrel) MFT it has lasted for years and given me good service. The only thing is you can "null" the leads 10 times before it gets to zero. When doing R1 + R2 it's a lottery!
I get it calibrated every year and every year nothing needs to be done.

Saying that i would buy a Fluke next time.

I used to recommend Kewtech to apprentices looking for their first brand new tester at a budget price, but since the unresolved issues with the KT64 and KT65 models I have been recommending the Di-log 9083P and Metrel MI3000, now I've added the Amprobe/Robin KTS1625 to the list, all of which most find easy to use and are reliable. For those with deeper pockets I can recommend either the Megger MFT1552, Fluke 1652 or Metrel MI3125 which are all excellent MFTs. The best advice anyone can give you is try before you buy. We all have individual different likes and dislikes, there is no one model that suits all testers. There is not enough long term feedback on either Kewtech KT63 or the Ideal 61-255 yet to be able to make a reasoned judgement in my view. I'm sure any member with experience of these models will make their feelings know.
