went into local fuel robbers this morning, plan was to add enough diesel for the day. pump came up at £15.03. got in the horrendous queue, as only 1 till open. finally got there, gave him a £20 note and a 5p. the cretin had to use a calculator to work out the change. meanwhile 6 queuing behind me had to wait an extra 5 minutes while he got his phone out.i reallly do despair of the younger generation.

Why not just stick £20's worth of fuel in it?

Just makes you wonder how they would get on with the pre decimal era? can you imagine?

I'd have stopped the display bang on £15. Precision.:D
I always try and stop on 44.44 or 55.55 etc. It makes the accounts that tiny bit easier to do!!

At my kids swimming lessons they were getting their badges. The young un who took the money got her phone out to work out 2.80 + 2.80.... I despaired too at the time..

It’s not all the youth I promise,I have 2 thirteen year olds who have been doing hexadecimal calculations......and laugh at me if I offer any help!....google it!
That will come in handy whilst working at the checkouts in Tesco's.......
