hi there
i have just been looking at my consumer unit mcbs
could you tell me what ratings are for
1/ immersion heater
2/ cooker
3/ oven
4/shower,

mine as 1, 20amp/ 2,32amp/ 3,32amp,/4 32amp,

Agree with that, as a rule of thumb nowadays I always put showers on 40A MCB's providing they're wired in 10mm.

If you have only 6mm then 40A is too large.
