Hi,

Can anybody recommend a good quick calibration service around the west london herts area for my meggar.

Also to pick your brains, My Nic inspector requires me to keep a test instrument log and test the same circuit every month and put down the results. If the figures don't change then you never need to send your tester in for calibration. (what are your views on this) over the last 2 years the readings have crept up on a loop impeadance test from .27 to .36 is it the machine or the circuit.

I think it's the circuit but don't have any other means of testing it

cheers

The NIC like you to have a test socket or check box, but the others dont seem bothered, as long as you have records of calibration with traceable certs.

To be honest, even with the NIC, i would still get them calibrated for my own peace of mind.

Not sure about services around London.

A quick search on the net should show a few.

Cheers, had my meggar 3 years now and although it's giving me pretty constant readings with my monthly checks and Nic don't require a calibration cert, i think it'd time i got it checked

Tiger, I'm looking too - but that £27 looks like the price for single function devices. If you look at their MFTs for sale, for example the Megger 1552, you can optionally select "Calibration TC2C", and the price listed is £55. Still an ok price though..

Thanks for that i thought it might be for single testers but could not find anything on multi testers mine is the 1552. Thanks, i'am a bit overcome by some of these websites in the end you can't see whats right in front of you:D I will ring them on monday
